NY FASHION WEEK x LARUICCI: RECAP
Is it that time of the year already? NYFW Resort has come and gone and all that's left to do is dissect our favorite collections.
Alexander Wang Spring 2019 ready-to-wear collection took angsty normcore and juxtaposed it with his iconic monochromatic brutalist aesthetic. The show itself was a sensory experience, set against a minimal bright white stage and flashing high beams, with the New York City skyline serving as a dramatic backdrop. Crowd favorites were on show, with Liu Wen and Bella Hadid both walking, adorned in biker-chic.
Moschino left us all dazzled and amused with this summer of love meets circus themed resort collection. With a creative mind like Jeremy Scott's at the helm of this ship, we can continue to expect for excitement like this in the future.
YSL served up some classics with archetypical YSL detailing. The quintessentially glamorous grunge was one of our favorite resort collections this year. You kind of always know what you're going to get from YSL, and in this case, consistency is key.
