Fan girl Annabelle representing
The members of Laruicci HQ indulge in many a fantasy while contributing to making megawatt magic, one of which is of course forming a megawatt girl band. One of us is lucky enough to be living that fantasy, Emma Sky, the jewelry maker (aka sexual metal bender) by day and the front-woman of punk rock band Slut Magic by night.
Last night they captured the hearts, imaginations and deepest, darkest fantasies of the crowd at the East Village staple of the alternative and rebellious music scene, the Sidewalk Cafe.
The scene was set with possibly the most apt merchandising in existance-Slut Magic condoms- strewn across the tables which were later thrown at suitable (sluttiest) audience members. Each band member was megawatt adorned and befitting of your wildest Laruicci crush in Laruicci chains, body harnesses and punk as f*** collars. If anyone can pull off the most outrageous styles of Laruicci it is of course a bunch of magical sluts who perform songs such as "Shut the F*** Up" which deploys the use of a megaphone and refers to those "beloved" cat caller experiences.
Screaming Sky in the Hustler Earrings
Mark the bass and piano player in Laruicci chains, Michael the guitarist and "Hot Boyfriend" in punk as f*** collar
Sky, the self declared brat on violin, megaphone and bouncing around the stage duty is the epitome of a Laruicci Girl in her black snakeskin crop top and blue tutu complete with the most intense body chain you've seen yet which wouldn't go amiss fastened to a piece of dungeon furniture and that she just magicked up that very day.
The highlight of the night, megaphone aside and undisputedly, was the finale "Megawatt", the song that was dreamed up using a collection of inspired and forever cheeky words of Laruicci herself such as "It's the kind of party where people love when you die" and "Skinny bodies in my mouth". Check out the magical sluts performance below.
